"Blending also plays a role at the Francis Ford Coppola Winery in Sonoma County, where winemaker Corey Beck uses 5 to 15 percent petite sirah in his Director's Cut zinfandel. The grapes aren't intermingled in the vineyard, but he ferments the zin and petite sirah together, like a field blend.
