• A smooth, velvety Chardonnay made from cool-climate Sonoma fruit.

Our Director’s Chardonnay comes from vineyards that have substantially different daytime-nighttime temperatures. This differential works to extend the growing season and enable the grapes to retain their natural acidity. Our fruit is harvested in the early morning hours, whole-cluster pressed, and largely fermented in oak to achieve richness and bring out notes of vanilla and spice. A portion of the wine is fermented in stainless in steel for a touch of vibrant acidity, which helps create a beautiful balance.

Our 2009 vintage is rich and flamboyant with lush, fruity flavors of pineappe, lime, apples and melons draped in vanilla crème brulée and sweet, aromatic spices.
